Gemma McLaughlin studied Costume Interpretation at Wimbledon College of Art where she specialised in historical reproductions of costumes, dancewear and theatrical costumes. She now lives and works in Surrey and London offering bespoke bridal wear for the bride and her bridesmaids. accessories for the whole bridal party can be made alongside the bridal dress; such as fascinators, boleros and sashes.

Gemma can work from a design sketch or from original garments, once settled on a final drawing, all designs are fully researched and come inclusive of fabric swatches, suggestions and a full breakdown of costing. Please be aware during summer months Gemma is particularly busy and would never want to rush a design so she will require approximately six months plus to create a wedding dress and two months to create bridesmaid dresses.

Gemma also offers an alterations service for ready made dresses, for these it is advisable to have a fitting as close to the wedding day as possible to ensure the best fit ideally a month before.

After having her two children Teddy and Madeline, Gemma decided to branch out into keepsakes made from special clothing. This can be keepsake animals or blankets. This then led onto Heavenly Hugs which are memorial keepsakes to help keep you close to a lost loved one and then lastly into the miniature wedding dress keepsakes.
